As a licensed and Joint Commission-accredited facility in the Boulder-Denver Metro area, NorthStar Transitions partners with men and women 18 and over suffering from addiction and substance use disorders. Progressing through our advanced continuum of care, most clients spend 90 days – 6 months pursuing recovery and preparing for independence.
Depending on your medical history, family and employment responsibilities, and addiction severity, our team will help you select the program/s that are suited to your individual needs.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based technique that helps individuals build a strong foundation for recovery. At NorthStar Transitions, we provide MAT to minimize withdrawal symptoms and make it easier for clients to focus on building a healthier lifestyle.
Partial hospitalization care (also called “day treatment”) is a structured program that lasts for one to four weeks and includes evidence-based therapies, life-skills training, mindfulness practices and more to help individuals build a strong foundation for recovery. After completing a rigorous daytime schedule, clients return home or to a sober living community at night.
Tailored to meet the demands of parenting, school or employment, our IOP includes a flexible three-hour therapy group three days a week that is available in either a morning or evening schedule. NorthStar’s Joint Commission-accredited IOP is ideal for working professionals, business owners and young adults residing at home or in sober living. The IOP program includes monitored drug tests, family counseling (as needed) and access to a board-certified psychiatrist.
The outpatient level of care is a step-down or transitional service offered to clients who have recently completed a more intensive program at NorthStar Transitions but want ongoing support as they integrate back into their daily lives. Outpatient treatment focuses on relapse prevention and provides individual therapy, support groups and more as needed.
