We hold in-network contracts with the majority of private insurance companies to lower the financial barrier to treatment. Our admissions team verifies the client's insurance coverage, and offers a complete explanation of benefits prior to admission. In the case that insurance is not an option, we may also provide affordable payment options.
NorthStar’s reputable staff is comprised of certified clinicians, addiction therapists, trauma therapists, a board-certified psychiatrist, physician’s assistant and medical assistant support that helps clients manage co-occurring diagnoses.
Since addiction is a pervasive family disease, we offer healing and restoration for the chemically dependent individual as well as his or her loved ones. The NorthStar program includes disease education and counseling for family members, as needed.
NorthStar Transitions offers gender-separated residential treatment locations, outpatient offices, and a male sober living home that are comfortably appointed and easily accessed in and around Boulder, CO.
Licensure and Accreditation matters. Addiction is a serious health condition and needs to be treated by licensed, competent and ethical professionals. In healthcare an organization should be judged by the quality of the services being delivered, the safety of the environment in which the service is delivered and the positive outcomes obtained for each client treated. To this end, NorthStar Transitions is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Behavioral Health and accredited by the Joint Commission on Healthcare Organizations. In order to obtain these licenses and accreditations, NorthStar Transitions has undergone rigorous onsite surveys, chart audits and inspections to ensure compliance with the highest standard of care in the addiction treatment industry. NorthStar Transitons has an active quality improvement plan in place to consistently improve the quality and effectiveness of addiction treatment services being delivered to clients. The end result is a treatment program that is accountable, committed to excellence and dedicated to improving client outcomes.
NorthStar Transitions treatment center is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Behavioral Health. NorthStar Transitions LLC is currently licensed for the following levels of care as promulgated by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM):
NorthStar Transitions is a CLIA waived medical laboratory under the Center for Medicare and Medicaid services. As such, NorthStar Transitions is able to conduct tests of limited medical complexity in office such as urine drug screens and breathalyzer testing.
NorthStar Transitions is accredited by the Joint Commission. Only a small handful of behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment centers are accredited by the Joint Commission. Joint Commission accreditation is only granted after a rigorous onsite survey is conducted and an organization is found to comply with an extensive set of standards set forth for patient safety, environment of care, clinical services delivery, quality improvement, leadership and other measures. Joint Commission accreditation is the “gold standard” and indicates to prospective clients that NorthStar Transitions has adopted the rigorous standards set forth by the Joint Commission and is dedicated to providing the highest quality patient care.
